Wood & Salt is a testament to the many heirloom craftsmanship techniques tucked away in quiet corners of the subcontinent. Their designers--Rishad Patel and Imran Ali Khan--use single pieces of Sheesham wood, sourced from Mapusa to handcraft these organic shapes inspired by nature. Each piece is carefully turned with a hand lathe by a single family working together. Finishing them with the traditional technique of using linseed oil makes them entirely food-safe. Anthology selected pieces for the simplicity and natural beauty of its source material that best resembled its inspiration; be it the intricate structure of a honeycomb or the soft curves of a bougainvillea.
